Seven Grand whiskey bar in North Park
Seven Grand is North Park’s newest watering hole, a whiskey bar decorated with dark wood, tartan carpet, and taxidermy. Deer hang near the pool tables, jackalopes watch over a corner booth, and a mean old boar guards the 20 beer taps—the only difference between the San Diego digs and the original L.A. location. Behind the bar, the wall of whiskey sparkles like a case of jewels, stocked with well over 200 different options. You can stick with the names you know (Jack, Jim, or Johnnie), or meet other Southern gentlemen like George T. Stagg, a 141 proof cask-strength bourbon with notes of caramel.
