Million Dollar Match

It’s not a million dollar question but a million dollar plan of action: If San Diegans make a donation to the Monarch School, a K-12 school in downtown San Diego for children impacted by homelessness, Bluepoint Solutions and its CEO Hal Tilbury will match up to $500,000. Tilbury, who helms the Vista-based company, gives his employees paid time off to volunteer at the school, which currently enrolls more than 175 students, and is breaking ground on a new campus downtown this fall. “Monarch School gives [the students] hope by providing an accredited education and meeting their basic needs,” Tilsbury says. “For many, it’s the closest thing they have to a home.” monarchschools.org
