April 1:

Vote for a community leader with the best moves at the Dancing With Our Stars second annual fundraising event for the California Center for the Arts, Escondido.

April 4:

Vow to never grow up at the Broadway musical Finding Neverland, a story about the author of Peter Pan at the Civic Theatre (through 4/9).

Carnivores rejoice for Cucina Urbana’s quarterly family-style Beast Feast Dinner Series, with pork as this month’s protein selection.

April 7:

Take a peek under the hood of hot rods and other classic cars during the 13th annual three-day La Jolla Concours d’Elegance auto show at Ellen Browning Scripps Park.

April 8:

More than 100 craft beers are on tap at the San Diego Beer & Music Festival held at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier.

Stop and smell the bouquets during Coronado Flower Show’s two-day event featuring horticultural and floral competitions, lectures, exhibits, and plant sales, as well as a wine and beer garden and live entertainment in Spreckels Park.

April 9:

Cyclists unite for the ninth annual Gran Fondo, or “Big Ride,” with four route options starting in Little Italy, and finishing with a pasta and beer party at Ruocco Park by Seaport Village.

April 13:

The Afro-Champeta music crew Tribu Baharú performs dance tunes influenced by Colombian folk music, rap, reggae, and other genres at UCSD’s Price Center East Ballroom.

April 15:

Get a Taste of Hillcrest during the 17th annual neighborhood walking tour with more than 30 participating eateries.

Feast on unlimited brews, spirits, and grub at the seventh annual Mission Valley Craft Beer & Food Festival at Qualcomm Stadium.

Venture over the rainbow as the San Diego Symphony performs the Wizard of Oz soundtrack at Copley Symphony Hall.

Feel the good vibes at Wanderlust, a daylong festival of yoga, meditation, a 5K run, and other mindfulness activities in Liberty Station.

The two-day Red Bull Air Race World Championship returns to San Diego with international competitors taking flight in an aerial obstacle course.

April 16:

April 21:

New location, same great bash! Dine, drink, and dance your way through San Diego Magazine’s annual Best of North County Party in the Paddock at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.

April 22:

The San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus presents an ode to musical theater’s top hits from Hamilton, Wicked, and more during Broadway Now! at Balboa Theatre (also 4/23).

April 23:

Celebrate our city’s diversity during the 32nd annual Linda Vista Multi-Cultural Fair and Parade, featuring ethnic food, performances, and exhibits.

Environmental issues are the focus at EarthWork’s 28th annual EarthFair in Balboa Park, with more than 300 exhibitors.

April 26:

More than 100 movies will show during the San Diego Black Film Festival’s 15th annual event, highlighting the African American experience with screenings, panel discussions, awards, and parties (through 4/30).

April 27:

The San Diego Museum of Art will be in full bloom during its 36th annual Art Alive exhibit, featuring 100 floral interpretations (through 4/30), with the Bloom Bash opening party on April 28.

April 28:

Representatives from the eastern and western Pacific Rim, along with members of the San Diego and Tijuana communities will explore how art can bridge cultures during Gateway Conversations in various locations throughout both cities.

April 29:

Take in visual and performing arts at the two-day Mission Federal ArtWalk in Little Italy, with music, dance, and interactive exercises throughout the neighborhood.

Listen to 150 free musical performances during Adams Avenue Unplugged, with artists staged at various businesses along the main thoroughfare.
