Can’t beat ’em? Join ’em! That’s the idea behind One Bunk, the new Barrio Logan property launched by LWP Group (The Pearl Hotel) that combines hotelier expertise with lifestyle-oriented lodging. The border region concept has its own website and social media accounts, but guests reserve via Airbnb.
“We decided to ‘hack’ Airbnb and use it as our booking engine,” says LWP owner Greg Strangman. “Today’s travelers want more than a place to put their ‘head in a bed.’”
The studio comes with perks like Insurgente beer, Netflix, and a backyard bocce set. This June, they’ll open eight rooms in a former Tijuana hotel, with plans to expand to Valle de Guadalupe soon. ¡Vámonos!
