Left to right: Lucky's Lunch Counter and Puesto
Anthology: Who would have thought Little Italy’s swankiest, dim-lit, live music lounge would open up so bright and friendly for Sunday brunch? Hello $10 bottomless mimosas!
Puesto: Mexican street food comes to La Jolla in a mod walk-up space serving grilled everything and a killer house salsa with pineapple and cactus.
Andaz: Yeah, Katsuya’s open in the lobby, but the hotel’s new rooftop breakfast is also worth a try.
Mille Fleurs: Chris Simmons is creating a new cocktail program for the RSF staple, following his stint at Burlap.
American Comedy Co.: Tom Arnold, Tom Green, and Dave Foley are taking the stage this spring in the Gaslamp.
Elevation Burger: Grass-fed beef is nothing new in this town, but root beer on tap and I-can-die-happy-now “elevation sauce” are worth the drive to Carlsbad.
Lucky’s Lunch Counter: Best thing about the East Village’s new sandwich spot? It’s open late for post-Padres game grubbing and on weekends for brunch.
Davanti Enoteca + Mia Francesca: The sibling Italian spots are now open in Del Mar Highlands. Grazie for fresh pasta and two hours of free parking.
Casa de Luz: New veggie-only menu in North Park with communal tables and a kiddie “peace playground.”
R Gang Eatery: Tots for everyone! At his happy Hillcrest joint, chef Rich Sweeney’s latest incarnation contains Brie and black truffles.
