FeedDate Idea: Side-by-Side Pedis at 20 Lounge in Cardiff
If a guy can watch a chick flick, he can drink beer and get a leg massage alongside you at 20 Lounge Boutique Nail Bar in Cardiff. Unlike the crowded mani-factories so common nowadays, this neighborhood salon is peaceful enough to enjoy alone or with the girls, but it’s also male-friendly. They do nails, waxing, tinting, and facial treatments. Their Bubbly Bar serves beer, wine, and champagne (I liked the pink “POP” bubbly).
Start with a base service, like a $20 manicure, then upgrade with a $5 “Shot” (e.g. an extra massage or Shellac). I went full bore this past Saturday and opted for a sugar scrub, massage, pedi…and I got my fingernails Shellac’d (No chipped paint! Usually I have 7 chips and dents by the time I exit a salon).
The sugar scrub massage on my shins and calves was heavenly. I passed a good two hours zoned out in front of the giant flatscreen TVs, watching music videos, drinking champers, and getting pretty digits. Bring your paramour and hold hands while you soak your feet. (They have menu items tailored for dudes—including manscaping. But you don’t want to hold his hand for that.)
Afterwards, grab sushi at Zenbu next door, buy fresh goodies at Seaside Market, or hit up Wine Steals just steps away. You’ll be the best dressed manicured couple in Cardiff.
