Each year, fine art and wine aficionados fill the quaint streets of the village of La Jolla for the prestigious La Jolla Art & Wine Festival, presented by Wells Fargo. On October 8th and 9th, over half a mile of La Jolla transforms into an oasis of creativity as it hosts over 150 juried artists offering incredible artwork and inspiration on Girard Avenue between Prospect Street and Torrey Pines Road. The two-day, FREE festival also boasts live entertainment, the finest selection of Baja wines and local San Diego craft beers, the Geppetto’s Family Art Center for the little ones, a gourmet food court, and dazzling roving entertainment.

Today’s top artists have been carefully selected to provide a dynamic and innovative setting representing a variety of mediums such as painting, sculpture, jewelry design, fine glass, ceramics, woodwork, mixed media and photography. Meander along Girard Avenue admiring the magnificent art work while enjoying local businesses, eateries, and the beautiful weather – you are sure to find something to delight you!

The La Jolla Art & Wine Festival is known for not only showcasing incredible artists, but also show-stopping performance artists that delight and amaze crowds of cheering fans. This year we are pleased to announce the brand new Parade of Stilt Walkers, where creative costumed performers are taken to new heights as they stroll through the festival grounds.

Take your taste buds on a tour of Baja as you sip and savor offerings from over 40 wineries in the Wine & Beer Garden. Sway to the sounds of live entertainment throughout the day while enjoying shaded seating and conversations with friends in between perusing artist booths. San Diego’s famous craft beer will also be front and center in the Wine & Beer Garden, offering ample tastes from local breweries to please the more hop-centric palate.

In 2016, the La Jolla Art & Wine Festival is proud to roll out the Geppetto’s Family Art Center, an even more extensive kid’s art area than ever before! The Geppetto’s Family Art Center will offer exciting art-centric adventures for all ages.

All profits raised benefit underfunded programs such as art, music, science, physical education, technology, and on-site medical care at La Jolla public elementary and middle schools. For more information visit ljawf.com.
