San Diego Seafood Spotlight

Catalina Offshore -- Great place to buy fresh cuts of fish -- if you make your own sushi, this is the place! You can buy salmon, tuna, fresh eel, crabs, lobsters (when in season) and more.

Blue Water Seafood -- My favorite ceviche and one of my favorite fish tacos!

Ritual Tavern -- If you're looking for the freshest oysters in town, head to Ritual Tavern for Cask Thursdays. They taste like the ocean, cold and salty and so fresh! Great international beer list as well.

Sea Rocket Bistro -- Local and sustainable are the mantras here, from Carlsbad oysters to local anchovy appetizers. Everything is loclly sourced, so the menu changes often. Interesting wine list, too, with great happy hour deals. I didn't love it the first time I went ( a few years ago when I first opened) but a recent visit was much tastier!

Blue Boheme -- The best Moules Frites (mussels in white wine sauce with crispy French fries) -- this isn't a seafood place, more like a rustic French bistro, but the mussels are soooo good!
