Someone Graffiti-ed The Old Police Headquarters
A sneak peek at the new Puesto

Someone graffiti-ed the old police headquarters and his name is Chor Boogie. Boogie is a local artist who has left his marks worldwide, and most recently at the new Puesto in The Headquarters at Seaport District. I got a sneak peek at the development last week, scheduled to open mid-November. Here are some pics, including progress on Boogie's mural that anchors the bar.
Boogie does no sketching before painting—he just goes for it, layering shapes and words. See the end of "PUESTO" sticking out from behind the bird?
The view from the 2nd floor looking out on the headquarters plaza. Other restaurants going into the complex will be Pizzeria Mozza and Seasons 52. Puesto will be the only locally-owned restaurant.
The tortilla and taco making will happen in the area on the bottom left. Grilled cheese for everyone!
A second Boogie masterpiece will go here, in the dining room.
Original windows of the police headquarters.
Apparently these stairs are historic and had to stay in the building, but they moved them here. Now they're wall art!
