Save some of those hard-earned dollars in your Christmas gift budget until Saturday, November 24. Small Business Saturday, a nationwide movement, is going strong in San Diego. Turn out and show your support to some of our neighborhood favorites.

Point Loma

Pigment: San Diegans everywhere rejoiced when Pigment opened their second location in Liberty Station. See what North Park loves about the local favorite and stock up on all kinds of giftable pieces while you’re there. With a focus on local products, Pigment is packed full of candles, home goods, and other beautiful bits and bobs.

3801 30th St., North Park

2885 Perry Road, Liberty Station

Baker & Olive: Check off all the aspiring chefs and foodies on your gift list with a quick stop at Baker & Olive. Their fresh bread, oils, tapenades, and more are the perfect host gifts—it’ll be tempting to break into the goodies on your drive home though!

2820 Historic Decatur Road, Liberty Station

Moniker General: A concept retail and community gathering space, Moniker General is hipster heaven. While you do your holiday shopping (they carry a variety of local brands, with products such as home goods, jewelry, and more) sip on a latte from the adjoining coffee and toast bar. And don’t miss their cool new pop-up collaboration with Appointed Co.

2860 Sims Road, Liberty Station

Ocean Beach

Current Collective: Opened last year, this Ocean Beach joint is filled with unique and environmentally conscious pieces. Plus, even after Small Business Saturday has passed, Current Collective hosts a variety of workshops all year long to keep your crafting abilities sharp and gifts completely DIY-ed.

5032 Niagara Ave.

Run for Cover: Ocean Beach’s newest local book joint, Run for Cover, will make you want to peruse their collection all afternoon, and they have all the books and giftable trinkets you could want. In case you hit a shopping induced energy lull, swing by their espresso and pastry bar for the push you’ll need to get through the rest of the stores on this list.

4912 Voltaire St.

North County

Lone Flag: For our friends up in North County, we haven’t forgotten you! Lone Flag, a premium menswear and lifestyle store, seeks to provide products that are beautiful and functional. Plus, they have a curated gift list (everything is under $60!), in case you’re at a loss on what to buy those hard-to-shop for guys.

1057A S Coast Hwy 101, Encinitas

Norden Goods: With stores carrying Norden Goods products all over the nation, this is a small business to recommend to all of your friends, no matter where they may live. But their flagship store in Encinitas is what we have our eye on right now. Southern California-based husband-and-wife founders wanted to create a simple, well-made home brand that would reflect the laid-back California lifestyle. We especially love their hand thrown dishes.

Available in various stores

North Park

Holsem: San Diego is quickly becoming a mecca for coffee lovers, and Holsem in North Park is committed to serving up brews and beans that are ethically sourced and completely natural. A bag of these beans will be the perfect stocking stuffer for more caffeinated individuals.

2911 University Ave.

Barrio Logan

Simón Limón: In case you missed our post about Barrio Logan’s new (aesthetically pleasing!) addition, here’s all you need to know: the self-proclaimed “shoe-box” of a store is packed full of the work of local artisans from both sides of the border.  Owner Alexandra Perez Demma says, “We’re all just artists trying to make it. People from Tijuana, they’re our neighbors too. Let’s all help each other.”
