Mrs. Lilien makes an appearance

Bixby & Ball hosts local author

Is there anyone so fabulous as Kelley Lilien a.k.a. Mrs. Lilien? From her Coronado abode, the blogger (and one of our 50 People to Watch 2012) has been jetting off to New York City, promoting her Cocktail Swatchbook and dining with the likes of Town & Country and Simon Doonan. She was even captured by New York Times famed photog Bill Cunningham as she was crossing the street in tres chic cigarette pants.

Tonight, from 6-9 p.m., she will be at the home décor store, Bixby & Ball (214 S. Cedros Ave.), in Solana Beach’s design district. Bixby & Ball is an adorable Nantucket-style beach house converted into a shop filled with Jonathan Adler goodies, Calypso candles, and John Robshaw bedding. Tonight, they are celebrating their two-year anniversary with booze and bites and a little local celebrity.

Stop by the store, meet Mrs. Lilien, and maybe pick up a nice hostess gift—or, who are we kidding, something for yourself.
